C3 De-escalation is an immediate, short-term intervention that increases cooperation with patients, improves CMS compliance and decreases stress on staff. C3 makes use of little-used brain research from Yale, combined with practical fieldwork from Chicago and health care facilities around the country.
C3 is non-contact and respectful, in line with Trauma Informed Care. This workshop is user-friendly, taught in plain language. We often hear that people use C3 the next day.
C3 is appropriate for patients with:
- Mental health issues
- Drug or alcohol issues
- History of homelessness or incarceration
- Dementia
- Intellectual or developmental disabilities
Objectives:
- Learn Trauma-Informed techniques for use with patients with mental health, substance use, or other challenging conditions.
- Create a proactive plan personalized to your needs and working conditions.
- Identify signs of heightening stress in oneself and colleagues, and de-escalate accordingly.
