Become an Advocate
MHCA works around the clock to advocate on behalf of the long-term care industry in Jefferson City but we need your help. Join the 5,000+ MO citizens who have signed up to be a LTC advocate by following the link below and entering your information. The commitment is low but joining and answering easy calls to action could make a huge difference for your facility and your residents.
Host a Legislator Tour
Our elected officials, who are making decisions for your community, need to know what your operations look like in your facility. The best way for them to really understand the hard work your facility performs to care for your residents is for them to see it in person. If it is safe, please work with MHCA to invite your legislator for a tour. We have ample resources to help guide you through a tour and are happy to have one of our Government Affairs Team members accompany you through your tour. During times where it is not safe to have unnecessary visitors, please don’t let this discourage you from meeting with your elected official. MHCA will assist you with setting up a meeting in your community or hosting a virtual tour with your legislator.
If you are interesting in hosting a legislative tour or would like to learn more about our issues, please contact Sarah Henke, sarah@mohealthcare.com.
Visit Jefferson City
If you have already hosted a legislator tour or want to meet your elected officials in a different setting, contact MHCA to set up a meeting in the Capitol with your elected official. Additionally, each year MHCA hosts an in-person advocacy day in Jefferson City (safety permitting) in conjunction with the Annual Mid-Year Conference.
