Attendance/Location:
Students will attend this course through the CANVAS online education platform. The student will receive their login information one (1) day prior to the class.
Class size is limited to the first 50 students.
Course Information:
- This course is for MHCA Members Only.
- This course is for the 75-hour classroom version only
- Students will have 120 days from the 1st day of the class to complete the course
- The student’s supervisor will be given login information and have the ability to monitor/check student’s progress.
- TMU/Headmaster Test Preparation is included in this course.
- This course is designed to instruct the student in nursing procedures to be performed under the supervision of a licensed nurse. It prepares the student for employment in a long-term care facility.
Course Requirements:
- Student’s 1st login to this course and textbook sync MUST be done through a desktop computer. (1st login and sync will not work through a phone or tablet.) After this, you may use your smart phone or tablet to work through the course.
- This course will be from May 9, 2024 through July 30, 2024. All students must have course completed by 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024. The course access will close at 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024.
- When registering to take the course, student must provide the following:
- Legal first and last name (as on your driver’s license or Missouri State ID)
- Must provide Supervisor’s name and contact information. Supervisor may be your facility administrator, director of nursing, or your educator.
- Must provide a unique personal email for each student (i.e. if a supervisor is registering more than 1 student, each student must have a unique email address).
Registration Fees:
MHCA Members Only – $700 per person (includes textbook fee)
Payment and registration must be received by noon the day before the course begins. Company checks or money orders should be made payable to MHCA. Credit card payments are accepted. We accept Visa, MasterCard & American Express. Course fees MUST be PAID IN FULL prior to student having course access. We do not accept personal checks.
Cancellation/Refunds:
- To receive a full refund, cancellations must be received PRIOR to textbook sync and completion of orientation module.
- If the book sync has been completed but the orientation model has not, then a refund of $550 will be given (price of course less textbook fee of $150). The facility may substitute another student instead of receiving a refund, but the $150 book fee will still apply.
- NO refund will be given once the orientation module has been completed.
- If student is unable to attend due to an emergency situation, the student can delay the course and be moved to an upcoming course. Student and supervisor must contact Shellie Goodin, shellie@mohealthcare.com or 573-893-2060, to discuss.
