This wide-ranging 12-month compliance and risk management focused series will provide the healthcare professional with insight into the long-term care litigation process and best practices for avoiding lawsuits. Instructors will include a LTC Legal Nurse Consultant with guest sessions by experienced nursing home defense attorneys.
Monthly discussion will include the LTC “Hot Topics” of falls and accidents, elopement, resident changes in condition, internal investigations, incident management, medication management, communication practices and fraud and abuse. Checklists and tools will be provided to assist in assessing and monitoring areas of high litigation risk within the facility.
