Pre-registration is required for all workshops.  Payment/registration must be received by noon the day before the workshop begins.  Company checks are money orders should be made payable to MHCA.  Credit card payments are accepted, we accept Visa, MasterCard & American Express (please note that a 3.5% service fee will apply to American Express payments).  We do offer a billing option for MHCA Members only.  We do not accept personal checks.

 

Refunds will be issued to registrants who cancel in writing within 48 hours of the workshop.  Cancellations received after this time and no-shows will be charged the full registration fee.  Substitutions are allowed.  Please fax or email your written cancellation to Shauna Frank at 573-893-5248 or shauna@mohealthcare.com

 

When making a reservation at any of the hotel locations, specify that you are with the Missouri Health Care Association.  Special group rates are based upon availability with a cut-off date one month prior to the workshop.  Sleeping rooms, travel and meal costs are responsibility of the attendee.

Federal Review Course for Nursing Home Administrators Exam

The purpose of the Review Course is to help attendees prepare for the nursing home administrator federal licensure exam.  Review Course materials have been revised and updated to reflect the structure of the current examination.

This workshop will look at the RAI process from beginning to end. The MDS is used for both a clinical assessment and a financial assessment and this workshop will discuss the rules on scheduling these assessments and meeting the requirements individually and combined. Item-by-item coding will be reviewed. From coding the MDS, we will then look at the CAA to care plan process.

This one-day workshop will begin with how to gain access to and read the MDS reports from CASPER in order to self-audit your RAI process.  This workshop will help the MDS coordinator and other members of the interdisciplinary team to understand the admitting criteria and the ongoing documentation needs of the Medicare resident.

The Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) will
overhaul SNF Medicare reimbursement starting October 1, 2019 and represents the largest change to Medicare reimbursement in 20 years. PDPM will replace the current Resource Utilization Groups (RUGs)-based system. This transition will impact each employee at your organization, so it is critical that SNFs develop a PDPM preparation plan to ease the transition burden and facilitate future financial health.

ICD-10 Bootcamp - Just the Basics

This two-day bootcamp is designed for individuals with minimal ICD-10 coding experience. The bootcamp will review SNF relevant coding guidelines and coding conventions. Attendees will participate in case scenarios that utilize the coding conventions and guidelines, and address PDPM coding specifics.

This one-day bootcamp is designed for individuals with some coding experience. The session will walk individuals through various coding scenarios, including scenarios with common coding errors found during First Class Solutions, Inc. SNF coding audits. Case scenarios will also include PDPM specifics such as clinical categories and NTA comorbidities.
