1.0 Patient Care hour


This session, specific to ALF/RCF facilities, will include requirements on resident abilities to negotiate a path to safety with and without staff assistance.  Additionally, speakers will define and discuss minimal assistance, more than minimal assistance, staffing requirements for both and individualized evacuation plans based on residents assessed needs. 



Carla Jennings – Program Manager for the Quality Assurance and Education Units with the MO Dept of Health and Senior Services.  Carla worked in the LTC Industry as a DON before joining DHSS. 

Steven Vest – Facility Surveyor III with the MO Dept of Health and Senior Services.  Prior to joining Central Office, Steven worked in the Region 4 office in the positions of:  Facility Inspector and Facility Surveyor I and II
