Webinar Description:

Falls are a prevalent problem across society with a significant impact on nursing facility residents in terms of psychosocial trauma to the resident, impact on resident, family and staff satisfaction and the financial costs associated with falls.  In the evolving world of pay for value there is also potential financial impact as well as the potential for becoming a less desirable placement choice for residents, their families and strategic hospital partners.


  1. Identify best practices for developing a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to fall prevention and fall management
  2. Identify the importance of a systematic, data-driven approach to performance management and improvement
  3. Describe the importance of developing a culture of safety
  4. Identify ways to sustain improved performance over time



Cora Butler, JD, RN, CHC, founded HealthCore Advisers, LLC in 2014.  Ms. Butler brings extensive experience from across the spectrum of healthcare delivery including acute, ambulatory, and post-acute care sectors to consulting services focused on assisting provider to achieve and maintain compliance in an environment that is rapidly transitioning to value-based payment.  In addition to nursing, Cora holds degrees in law, health services management as well as certification in health care corporate compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association.
