Jonathan “Jon” Dolan became the Executive Director of the Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA) in late 2005 following nine years of service in the Missouri legislature. Jon was born in 1967 and raised in a suburb of New York City. A 1985 graduate of St. Dominic High School in O'Fallon, Mo., he attended the University of Mo. - Columbia where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a commission as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1988. In 1995, he received his Master of Arts in Security Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
Elected to the Senate in 2002 and formerly serving three terms in the Missouri House of Representatives representing the people of the West St. Charles County, his quick wit and colorful manner made him an entertaining standout in the legislature. He served as the Senate Majority Caucus Chairman and was Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee where he improved the safety and accountability of Missouri’s statewide transportation system. Jon was also involved in other issues and played a critical role in the debate and passage of a wide variety of legislation including the Nursing Home Reform Act of 2003. “Major Dolan’s” military service includes service at Joint Task Force Guantanamo during Operation Enduring Freedom and active duty training at the Military Police Captain's Career Course, the Public Affairs Officer Course, the Officer Basic Course, Army Basic Training and the Army Airborne School. His experience also comprises nine years as a security management professional including service as a Special Agent in the Office of Security of the Central Intelligence Agency and as an alarm system consultant in the private sector. Jon is a member of the Missouri Society of Association Executives, the Missouri Society of Governmental Consultants, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and the Cathedral of St. Joseph. He resides in Jefferson City, Mo. with wife Leanne, daughter Hannah and son Jonathan.
