2017 Awards Program
Now is the time to say “Thank You!” to those who go the extra mile for the betterment of the long term care profession and the residents they serve! Is there a dedicated volunteer at your facility? Perhaps you have an outstanding employee or CNA? Missouri Health Care Association knows it takes very special people to enhance the quality of care and the quality of life for your residents. We will accept applications in the following categories:
Adult Volunteer of the Year - recognize that special adult volunteer who assists in your facility and has direct contact with your residents.
Teen Volunteer of the Year - recognize that special teen volunteer who assists in your facility and has direct contact with your residents. Teen volunteer nominees must be between the ages of 13 - 19 as of July 15, 2017.
Employee of the Year - recognize your facility’s dedicated, valuable employees: nursing staff, activities, social services, dietary, environmental services, administrative staff, etc.
CNA of the Year - recognize the most dedicated and caring CNA in your facility who strives to give quality care to all residents.
David Duncan Administrator of the Year – recognize your administrator for going above and beyond the call of duty and making your facility a great place for staff and residents.
Member of the Year - recognize an exceptional member who has made a positive impact on the overall Association: administrators, owners, support staff, etc.
District winners will be invited to attend the Opening General Session held during MHCA’s 69th Annual Convention in Branson, MO on August 28, 2017, where the statewide winners will be announced. Please share this information with your department heads and take this opportunity to nominate someone for each category to ensure all deserving employees are recognized!
2017 Essay Contest
Your residents are a part of living history. Their wisdom, love, and strength make your job unique. Every day you see smiling faces, warm hearts, and loving eyes through your residents. In many ways, as you care for these special people, the experiences you receive can change your life for the better. Put your thoughts and feelings on paper by composing an essay on:
“How Helping Our Residents Has Helped Me!”
A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner will be selected by a panel of judges. The 1st place winner will receive a plaque and recognition during the Opening General Session at MHCA’s Annual Convention held August 28 in Branson, MO. This is a terrific opportunity for your employees to express the love, pleasure, and enjoyment they receive from working at a long term care facility. Download complete packet
